[The beginning of acne, selective treatment of sebaceous glands] Agnes RF
Agnes RF is a procedure that delivers high-frequency energy using micro-insulated needles to the sebaceous glands, which are the main cause of acne. It selectively treats sebaceous glands, focusing on areas with excessive sebum secretion or recurrent acne. This treatment can be considered for those who frequently experience skin troubles in specific areas such as the forehead, chin, or cheeks, or who are concerned about oily skin. * Tip value separate * VAT separate

Our Clinic's Agnes Treatment
The Agnes treatment performed at our clinic differs from the basic method of simply applying one shot to a single lesion.
1. 'Scatter Pattern' Design Considering Sebaceous Gland Distribution
Sebaceous glands tend to be widely distributed, so the treatment is performed by adjusting the sebaceous gland clusters around the lesion together. Appropriate output and depth are adjusted for each lesion, and the treatment proceeds by expanding from the center to the periphery.
2. Three-Dimensional Approach Through Appropriate Needle Length and Radiofrequency Output Adjustment
The needle length is selected and applied considering the anatomical depth of each area. The goal is to enhance the treatment effect by applying output values tailored to the characteristics of the lesion.
Energy intensity and delivery time are precisely adjusted according to the size and depth of the lesion. Even during repeated treatments, we strive to reduce skin irritation through subtle positional adjustments rather than focusing only on the same spot.
3. Real-time Confirmation and Guidance on Lesion Temperature Response
Agnes radiofrequency treatment induces local coagulation in the lesion area at a target temperature (60-70 degrees Celsius). When appropriate thermal energy is delivered, reactions such as slight swelling or color changes in the lesion can be observed during the procedure. We observe the lesion's reaction in real-time during the procedure and strive to prevent side effects that may occur due to excessive thermal coagulation. After the treatment, we examine the treated area together with the patient in a mirror and discuss additional treatments if deemed necessary.
4. Post-Treatment Soothing Care
After the treatment, a Jaungo modeling pack is immediately applied to help soothe the skin and alleviate thermal irritation. This can aid in supporting the skin's recovery process. Through such meticulous processes, we are committed to managing acne and sebaceous gland-related conditions.
Agnes Treatment for Yellow Bumps on Lips, Fordyce Spots Management
Small, whitish or yellowish bumps that appear on the inside of the lips or oral mucosa are called Fordyce spots.
While these are exposed normal sebaceous glands, many individuals feel bothered and uncomfortable due to their appearance.
Agnes treatment delivers high-frequency energy through an insulated micro-needle, selectively coagulating only the sebaceous glands while minimizing damage to the outer skin.
Through this, improvement in Fordyce spots can be expected.
It is a method that can help manage the affected area without medication.
Agnes Treatment for Under-eye 'Goosebumps' (Sebaceous Gland Hyperplasia) Management
The symptom of rough, bumpy skin under the eyes is often referred to as 'goosebumps' or 'chicken skin'.
In most cases, it's not simply a pore issue but rather sebaceous gland hyperplasia, where the sebaceous glands have become excessively enlarged.
Agnes treatment can be applied even to thin and sensitive areas like under the eyes,
as it is designed to precisely target and manage sebaceous glands, allowing for natural improvement.
It can help improve the condition of the skin under the eyes while reducing the possibility of scarring or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Benefits of Agnes Treatment
- 01. It can help reduce the possibility of acne recurrence by selectively destroying sebaceous glands.
- 02. Epidermal damage is minimal, which can lower the risk of scars and hyperpigmentation.
- 03. It can be used for the management of various types of lesions, including blackheads, milia, and syringomas.
- 04. Treatment can be considered with relatively less burden even on sensitive areas like around the eyes and mouth.
- 05. Personalized treatment is performed by adjusting output values according to the individual's skin area, condition, and type of lesion.
- 06. Sterile packaged individual tips are used to maintain a hygienic treatment environment.
Cases Where Agnes Treatment May Be Considered
- 01. Individuals who frequently experience acne or have recurrent breakouts.
- 02. Individuals who find it difficult to take oral medications like Isotretinoin or are concerned about side effects.
- 03. Individuals concerned about enlarged pores due to excessive sebum and blackheads.
- 04. Individuals with multiple small lesions such as milia or syringomas.
Treatment Procedure
- STEP 01. 1:1 Customized Consultation
- STEP 02. Self-Cleansing
- STEP 03. Anesthetic Cream Application
- STEP 04. Agnes Treatment
- Step 5. Skin calming using Jaungo modeling pack.
Precautions After Treatment
- Redness and swelling usually subside within 6 hours after the procedure. However, depending on individual skin condition, it may last for 1-2 days.
- Occasionally, tiny scabs may form, which should be allowed to fall off naturally.
- For 7 days after the procedure, it is recommended to avoid jjimjilbangs (Korean bathhouses), saunas, swimming, water activities, smoking, and alcohol consumption.
- When going out, it is important to apply sunscreen thoroughly every 3-4 hours. Also, protect your skin from UV rays by using moisturizing products and drinking plenty of water.
- Depending on your skin condition, various symptoms such as temporary breakouts, itching, or redness may appear. If discomfort persists or any concerning situation arises, please do not hesitate to contact our clinic.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What is the principle of Agnes treatment?
Agnes treatment uses an 'RF insulated needle' to directly deliver high-frequency energy to the root structures of acne, such as sebaceous glands and subcutaneous fat. The delivered high-frequency energy generates localized heat of approximately 60-70°C, which causes sebaceous glands or fat cells to coagulate and gradually lose their function or atrophy. This goes beyond simply suppressing sebum secretion, acting as a direct management method for sebaceous glands, which can help reduce the likelihood of acne recurrence.
What is the recommended treatment cycle?
Considering individual skin conditions, we generally recommend a total of 3 treatments at intervals of about 3-4 weeks.
