Kkeuthan Clinic's Dual Toning: A Customized Approach
Features of Dual Toning Proposed by Kkeuthan Clinic
Even when combining laser toning and Genesis treatment, the approach must vary depending on each individual's skin condition.
Kkeuthan Clinic's Dual Toning meticulously assesses each individual's skin condition and aims for sophisticated, customized design.
Through this, we design a treatment process that is both delicate and geared towards desired results.
The core of the treatment is not simply in the type of equipment or the number of shots.
The depth and distribution of pigmentation, skin sensitivity, and accompanying issues such as loss of elasticity, redness, and enlarged pores are comprehensively analyzed.
Based on this analysis, treatment plans are established according to customized criteria, divided into a total of five types.
① Pigmentation-Focused Type – Primarily melasma, freckles, and superficial pigmentation
This type is characterized by a prominent observation of melanin pigmentation on the outer layer of the skin.
Mainly utilizing laser toning, intensive management targeting pigmentation is recommended.
The goal is an overall clear and even skin tone.
② Combination Type – Skin with both melasma and redness
This type presents with red marks caused by pigmentation and blood vessels in the dermal layer of the skin.
Rather than applying strong stimulation to the skin, an approach that gradually induces a response over a wide area with low energy is suitable.
This type can be beneficial for those with sensitive skin or for those who haven't noticed significant changes from previous treatments.
③ Redness Type – Skin with noticeable redness around the cheeks and nose
Dilated fine blood vessels, heat sensation, and redness due to skin sensitivity are the main characteristics.
Genesis treatment is performed with relatively high output and multiple shots,
aiming to stabilize blood vessels and help restore skin barrier function.
④ Fine Lines & Dryness Type – Thin, dry skin with many fine wrinkles
This case involves a lack of skin moisture, uneven overall skin texture, and accompanying loss of elasticity.
By overlapping Genesis laser shots deep into the skin and over a wide area,
the treatment is performed to induce collagen production in the dermis and help improve skin texture.
⑤ Pores & Scars Type – Skin concerned with enlarged pores and acne aftermath
This refers to cases of reduced elasticity around pores or remaining scars from past inflammation.
Management is directed towards delivering thermal energy deep into the skin to promote the skin regeneration process.

*Distinctive Features of Kkeuthan Clinic's Dual Toning
Kkeuthan Clinic's Dual Toning goes beyond a simple approach.
It does not merely mean combining two types of lasers for treatment.
1. Depth and area of pigmentation
2. Sensitivity and recovery capability for each skin type
3. Additional factors to consider, such as skin elasticity, redness, and enlarged pores
By considering all these detailed aspects,
from laser wavelength settings, output intensity, handpiece selection, to the number of shots, we establish a personalized, optimized plan for each individual.
A detailed treatment plan focused on each and every individual,
This is precisely the significant differentiator of Kkeuthan Clinic's Dual Toning.

Candidates for Treatment
- 01. Those who feel that general toning treatments alone are insufficient and are considering simultaneous improvement of pores and skin texture.
- 02. Those who wish to reduce the burden of treatment frequency while expecting skin changes.
- 03. Those who are concerned about uneven skin tone due to dark melasma or pigmentation.

Treatment Process
- STEP 01. Cleansing
- STEP 02. 1:1 Customized Consultation, Treatment Area Design, and Procedure

Precautions After Treatment
- ㆍCleansing and makeup are both possible from the day of the procedure. When going out, we recommend paying special attention to using sunscreen.
- ㆍIt is recommended to reduce the recovery burden on temporarily irritated skin through sufficient soothing and moisturizing care.
- ㆍOccasionally, swelling or redness may appear after the procedure. These usually subside naturally over time, so you don't need to worry excessively. If redness or swelling persists for more than a few days, please contact the clinic.

What are the characteristics of melasma, distinguishing it from general blemishes?
Melasma exhibits different characteristics than simple melanin hyperpigmentation.
It is characterized by the abnormal activation of pigment cells called melanocytes, which are located in the deeper layers of the skin.
The melanin produced here repeatedly spreads over a wide area.
As a result, it is a complex pigmentation disorder where pigment penetrates into the dermis and persists for a long time.
External factors such as UV exposure or hormonal changes can particularly stimulate melanocytes.
In this process, subtle inflammatory reactions or vascular-related factors within the skin can also complexly interact.
One of the characteristics of melasma is its tendency for pigment to spread in a blurry, broad pattern, unlike typical moles.
Histologically, the number of melanocytes is often within the normal range, but
the cell size increases, and the dendritic processes (dendrites) that transfer melanin to surrounding cells significantly increase.
This allows melanin to be transferred more abundantly and widely to surrounding skin cells.
In some patients, microvascular dilation or flushing reactions may also be observed in melasma areas.
In such cases, it is sometimes separately classified and described as vascular melasma.
Melasma is less a disease in itself and more a result of the skin reacting sensitively and
appearing due to various stimuli in a structurally unstable state.
Therefore, an approach that goes beyond simply removing pigment and instead addresses both the underlying causes of melasma and skin structural factors is important.
While dual toning can be considered for general pigmentation disorders, for melasma in particular, a dual toning approach that considers its complex causes can provide more in-depth management.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What is the appropriate interval and number of sessions for this procedure?
Generally, we recommend consistent treatments 10 or more times, at intervals of about 1-2 weeks. The treatment plan may vary depending on individual skin condition and type of pigmentation.
How much pain can I expect during the procedure?
You may feel a light tingling sensation during the procedure. In most cases, the pain is not significantly uncomfortable, so it can often be performed without separate anesthesia. Pain sensitivity varies among individuals.
