[Considering Recurrence] Treatment for Sebaceous Gland Hyperplasia and Syringoma

Sebaceous gland hyperplasia and syringoma often appear as small bumps on the skin, which can be a cosmetic concern. By utilizing Agnes and Erbium (CO2) lasers together, we provide more delicate treatment tailored to the condition of the lesion. *VAT excluded

Sebaceous Hyperplasia, an approach considering recurrence

“If only the external appearance of the lesion is improved, the internal cause may remain.”

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a skin condition caused by the sebaceous glands in the dermal layer of the skin becoming excessively enlarged or increased in number.

There is a common treatment method that only removes visible lesions with a laser.

While this approach may temporarily appear to improve the appearance,

the sebaceous glands themselves may still remain, with the potential to proliferate again.

We attempt a different approach.

In addition to removing superficial lesions, we help manage the underlying internal causes to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

Our goal extends beyond merely eliminating visible symptoms,

we aim to improve both the causes and symptoms of sebaceous hyperplasia.

To achieve this, we combine and utilize two types of equipment.

1. Secret Agnes RF (Insulated High-Frequency 1-Pin Needle)

By directly delivering high-frequency energy to the affected sebaceous glands,

it helps selectively manage those sebaceous glands.

Utilizing an insulated needle minimizes damage to the epidermis or surrounding tissues,

precisely targeting the sebaceous glands for treatment.

This approach can play a crucial role in improving the cause of sebaceous hyperplasia.

2. Erbium YAG Laser (Er:YAG)

The Erbium YAG laser, through a precise depth-controlled peeling procedure,

can gently improve externally protruding lesions.

This results in less tissue damage, which can help reduce the burden of recovery time and lower the possibility of scarring.

Depending on the patient's condition, CO2 laser can be combined to manage lesions in relatively deeper areas.

Differences from typical surface removal procedures

CO2 standalone peeling procedure: Primarily cleans up the outer surface, but the sebaceous glands themselves remain, and recurrence may be anticipated.

Our combined procedure: By managing the sebaceous glands themselves and improving superficial lesions, it can contribute to lowering the possibility of recurrence.

Key Features of Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Simply removing only the visible parts may not be sufficient.

Managing both internal causes and external symptoms simultaneously can help reduce the possibility of recurrence.

Are you experiencing any of these symptoms?

Small, round bumps appearing on the forehead, cheeks, and around the nose

The center of the lesion may also have a slightly indented, navel-like shape.

While it may resemble a typical pimple, nothing comes out even if you try to squeeze it.

Lesions persist for a long time or gradually increase in number over time

These symptoms may not be simple skin troubles or blemishes.

One should consider the possibility of *sebaceous hyperplasia (Sebaceous Hyperplasia)*, which occurs due to abnormal proliferation of sebaceous glands within the dermal layer.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

Is it necessary to combine Agnes treatment?

QnA

Since syringoma and sebaceous gland hyperplasia are lesions that affect the sebaceous glands, applying Agnes treatment, which targets the sebaceous glands, can help lower the possibility of recurrence.

What is the recovery period after the procedure?

QnA

It is recommended to apply a regeneration tape (e.g., Duoderm, Duoderm Gel, etc.) to the treated area for more than 2 weeks. This helps protect the skin and aid in recovery.

How much pain is experienced during the procedure?

QnA

The degree of pain experienced during the procedure can vary from person to person. We strive to minimize discomfort by applying anesthetic cream before the procedure.
