Sebaceous hyperplasia is a skin condition caused by the sebaceous glands in the dermal layer of the skin becoming excessively enlarged or increased in number.

There is a common treatment method that only removes visible lesions with a laser.

While this approach may temporarily appear to improve the appearance,

the sebaceous glands themselves may still remain, with the potential to proliferate again.

We attempt a different approach.

In addition to removing superficial lesions, we help manage the underlying internal causes to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.

To achieve this, we combine and utilize two types of equipment.

1. Secret Agnes RF (Insulated High-Frequency 1-Pin Needle)

By directly delivering high-frequency energy to the affected sebaceous glands,

it helps selectively manage those sebaceous glands.

Utilizing an insulated needle minimizes damage to the epidermis or surrounding tissues,

precisely targeting the sebaceous glands for treatment.

This approach can play a crucial role in improving the cause of sebaceous hyperplasia.

2. Erbium YAG Laser (Er:YAG)

The Erbium YAG laser, through a precise depth-controlled peeling procedure,

can gently improve externally protruding lesions.

This results in less tissue damage, which can help reduce the burden of recovery time and lower the possibility of scarring.

Depending on the patient's condition, CO2 laser can be combined to manage lesions in relatively deeper areas.

Differences from typical surface removal procedures

CO2 standalone peeling procedure: Primarily cleans up the outer surface, but the sebaceous glands themselves remain, and recurrence may be anticipated.

Our combined procedure: By managing the sebaceous glands themselves and improving superficial lesions, it can contribute to lowering the possibility of recurrence.
